Information for Commencement 2008 Parking
All visitors looking for Commencement Day parking should proceed to the Athletic complex on North Harvard St. in Allston. Signs will be posted directing traffic either to the athletic area or a nearby overflow area. Please note that all parking is on first-come, first-served basis, and is in satellite parking areas. This parking will be available beginning at 6 a.m. on Commencement Day, June 5, and all vehicles must clear the area no later than 7 a.m. on June 6. All parking is at owner's own risk.
Shuttles will be running from these parking locations throughout the day, until 8 p.m. Please plan your visit accordingly as traffic in Cambridge will be extremely busy, with significant delays going to and from Harvard Square.
If you are looking for extended parking during this week please contact our office. This is a busy week at the University and we may not be able to assist with all requests.
All accessible parking requests must go through the University Disability Coordinator, Marie Trottier, who may be reached at 617-495-1859 (voice) or 617-495-4801 (TTY), or by e-mail at marie_trottier at harvard dot edu. Requests must be submitted by May 18.
Additionally, Commencement Week visitors and guests should be aware that there are numerous commercial parking facilities in and around Harvard Square. And please be respectful of the Allston and Cambridge communities by not parking on residential streets.

General Information for Event Parking
The goal of Harvard Parking Services is to provide the best possible service with the greatest amount of flexibility and convenience to the Harvard community.
Event coordinators should review their transportation needs as an initial part of the event planning process. We recommend that all planners schedule any upcoming events with our office as soon as possible as some requests may not be approved for certain lots due to space constraints. Lists of commercial garages in the area, maps and shuttle service contacts are available upon request.
Harvard Parking Services also works closely with the City of Cambridge when city spaces are required for University events. In order to secure meters or other city spaces, requests must first go through Harvard Parking Services. Requests from Harvard affiliates will be directed by Cambridge Traffic and Parking back to Harvard. This assures the city that all Harvard University spaces are utilized first.
Support with larger events such as Passenger Transport and/or valet assistance are also possible options. Our coordinator will connect you with the University’s preferred vendors.
