Parking Bulletins
The final phase of the Northwest Lab project will include the fit-out of the new elevator lobby and permanent pedestrian access
from both the north and south sides of the building. The work will include new interior features such as doors, stairs and a new accessible
ramp. The contractors are currently working on the north entry, tentatively scheduled to be finished on Tuesday, February 12th. Once
the north side is complete, pedestrian access will return to Hammond Street. Pedestrian access from both the north and south sides of
the building will remain open until Friday, February 15th, at which time the south walkway will close again to finish the lobby and
landscaping work. During this time, pedestrian access will be exclusively through the Hammond Street entry. Both pedestrian entrance points
are schedule to be permanently opened by the beginning of May. A Parking Services’ monitor will be available in the lobby during
the first few days of this transition to assist customers and answer questions.
Click here for a view of the site.
The current ramp in the elevator lobby will be unavailable for approximately one week starting Monday, February 18th. Access to the
elevators will require use of a small stairway. If you have University-approved disability parking and need a ride to or from your
vehicle during this time, please dial the following numbers and we will gladly arrange for service:
Weekdays - 8:00am until 5:00pm: 617-495-3772
Weeknights/Weekends: 617-799-5874
You may also speak to the monitor in the outside booth or in the garage office for assistance.
For safety and security reasons, pedestrian access is prohibited from the vehicle entry and exit ramps. If you have any problems
entering the garage lobby with your access card, please push the intercom button on the reader for monitor assistance.
