Cambridge Chilled Water
Cambridge Chilled Water provides chilled water for air conditioning and process cooling to approximately 75 buildings in the core campus area in Cambridge. The chilled water is produced by a 13,000 ton central plant located at One Oxford Street, and a 7,500 ton satellite plant located in the Northwest building. Services include utility billing/administrative services and operation, maintenance, and expansion of the University's central chilled water plant and distribution infrastructure from the point of generation to the point of delivery (building interface).

Electric Distribution
Cambridge Electrical Distribution provides electrical power to over 250 buildings on the Cambridge and Allston campuses. The electrical requirement for these facilities is on the order of 36 megawatts peak demand ' equivalent to the needs of a community such as Concord. Services include utility billing/administrative services, operation, maintenance, and expansion of the University's electric distribution infrastructure from the point of supply to the point of delivery (building interface).

Cambridge Steam Distribution
Cambridge Steam Distribution provides high-pressure steam to approximately 200 buildings (representing about 80% of the Cambridge and Allston campuses) for space heating, domestic water heating, and process uses. Services include utility billing/administrative services, operation, maintenance, and expansion of the University's steam distribution infrastructure from the point of supply (the Blackstone Plant) to the point of delivery (building interface).

Water / Storm & Sanitation Drainage
Cambridge Water Service provides city water to approximately 440 buildings on the Cambridge campus for domestic water and fire protection uses. Services include utility billing/administrative services, operation, maintenance, and expansion of the University's water distribution system and transmission level sanitary and storm drainage systems.

Blackstone Steam Plant
Harvard's Blackstone Steam Plant generates high-pressure steam from dual-fuel boilers and supplies the University's central steam distribution system that serves approximately 11 million square feet of facility (~160 buildings) in Cambridge and Allston.

Utility Administration Services
E&U provides utility administration services (e.g. billing and account management), energy sourcing (including renewable energy supplies), and Renewable Energy Credit (REC) procurement for facilities served by Harvard’s centralized energy/utility systems as well as facilities that are directly served by suppliers. Energy and utility accounts include electricity, fuel oil, natural gas, and water.
