Laser Safety (Refresher)

Course Description: Current topics in laser safety taken from laboratory observations and literature. Example topics are (1) laser radiation effects, (2) Review of operational programs and (3) controls to protect laser users from the beam and non-beam hazards of laser radiation.
Attendance Requirements: Refresher training for Harvard personnel that use Class 3B or 4 laser systems and efficient means to control those risk in the research environment. Biennial refresher training is required after completion of Initial Laser Safety Training.
