Laser Safety (Initial)

Course Description: (1) laser safety classifications, (2) effects of laser radiation, (3) non-beam hazards and (4) engineering and administrative controls to protect laser users against hazardous laser radiation and non-beam hazards.
Attendance Requirements: Harvard personnel that use Class 3B or 4 laser systems and efficient means to control those risk in the research environment. Biennial refresher training is required.
