Irradiator Training
Regulations mandate that all users who desire unescorted access to an irradiator (for any reason) complete these requirements:
- Complete a Trustworthiness and Reliability Check. See below for instructions.
- Complete the Radiation Safety Training Orientation at http://www.uos.harvard.edu/ehs/radiation/training.shtml
- Complete the irradiator training program.
Anyone who needs access to an irradiator at Harvard will first need to contact their Human Resource Office and complete the required Trustworthiness and Reliability Check. The proposed user will be asked to provide information about previous employment and education, and to sign some forms allowing Harvard to verify this information and to conduct the Check. When the Trustworthiness and Reliability Check has been successfully completed, the user will be able to take the training sessions listed above.
