Asbestos and Smoking
Smoking is very harmful to health and related to increased heart disease cancer and stroke. Asbestos exposure can cause asbestosis, pleural plaques, lung cancer and mesothelioma. The combination of smoking and asbestos exposure can increase the risk of lung cancer by 50 to 84 times. There is information below on programs and resources to help smokers stop smoking.
