Wastewater Management

Industrial wastewater is any discharge, solid, liquid or gas resulting from an institutional activity or from the development, recovery or processing of natural resources. Industrial wastewater is regulated by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA). Harvard University has and Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permit that specifies the discharge limits for particular pollutants. The goal is to reduce or eliminate the potential for pollution from wastewater discharge.
