Diversity Dialogues

Project Name: Diversity Dialogues

Objective(s):

Transfer and expand understanding of diversity in the workplace through discussion and interactive activities.

Implementation Plan:

Current and former UOS council members will team up in groups of 2 to lead 1-hour discussions on diversity in the work place.

Audience: Cross-departmental representation of UOS employees –15 per session.

Schedule:

Start Date: April 2004

Project Finish: April 2006

Milestones: Dialogues will be regularly scheduled until all UOS employees have participated in a Diversity Dialogue. In addition, Diversity Dialogue sessions will be incorporated into the UOS orientation training for all new employees

Current Status:
  • Sub-Committee will schedule a meeting in March to discuss administrative details of the program and finalize the facilitator’s guide.
  • Diversity Dialogues are tentatively scheduled to start in May 2004 following completion of the Diversity Management Training.
