Tour Harvard's First LEED Platinum Building
Welcome to 46 Blackstone Street; Harvard University's first LEED Platinum building and the home of University Operations Services (UOS). The building stands as a symbol of Harvard's commitment to sustainability but also reflects UOS's strong leadership role in improving the environment.
This historic building is equipped with many modern technologies that dramatically increase efficiency. For example, the large windows and glass ceilings allow natural light to cascade deep into the center of the building, fluorescent lighting is mostly automated, a deep geo-thermal well utilizes the earth's constant temperature to deliver cooling, and the landscaping requires no irrigation and little maintenance. If you would like to learn more about these features, or the building's many other sustainable technologies, join us for a tour.
Thanks, and we hope you'll visit us!
