Credits

University Operations Services (UOS) is an integrated service organization providing essential facilities and environmental functions to Harvard's schools & departments.

The website was the result of cross department feedback and the necessity of having a semantic website for our customers.

Typefaces:

The UOS logotype and department nameplates are set in Univers, which was designed by Adrian Frutiger. The school's name along with UOS is set in FF Scala, designed by Martin Majoor.

The local navigation and sidebar headers are set in Max Miedinger's Helvetica and the content is set in Matthew Carter's Georgia.

Technical Specifications & Structure

All pages were coded in accordance to web standards, which follows the accessibility recommendations from the W3C. The website also complies with Section 508 guidelines, a core component of the Federal Rehabilitation Act.

The site was built with the presentation layer separate from the content layer using XHTML and CSS.
